US 20-Year Auction High Yield Rises from Previous Month, Demand Higher

The US Treasury's 20-year auction hit a high yield of 5.420% on Tuesday, up from the 5.204% high in the previous auction.

The bid to cover ratio for the auction was 2.57, above the 2.53 ratio in the previous auction.

Dealers represented 57.97% of the bids, with direct bidders at 15.25% and indirect bidders at 26.77%.

For takedown, dealers took 16.85%, with direct bidders at 30.68% and indirect bidders at 52.47%.

Sandoz Group Launches EUR500 Million Bond

Sandoz Group (SDZ.SW) said Monday it completed the issuance of 500 million euros of 4.835% bonds with a maturity of 12 years.Proceeds from the bond issuance will be used for general corporate purposes, including refinancing of existing debt.The Swiss drugmaker expects to hold its average annual interest rate on gross debt under 4%, while pushing its debt maturity profile to 2038.

Huadian New Energy (SHA:600930) completed the issuance of its first tranche of medium-term bonds for the year, which amounts to 1.50 billion yuan, according to a Shanghai bourse filing Tuesday.The bonds carry an interest rate of 1.69% and a term of five years, maturing Sept. 11, 2031.Industrial Bank (SHA:601166) acted as the lead underwriter and bookrunner of the issuance.

Singapore's Overall Bond Issuance Jumps 22% in 2025

Singapore's overall bond issuance jumped by 22% year on year to $95 billion in 2025, according to data released by the Monetary Authority of Singapore on Monday.Total outstanding debt arranged by financial institutions in the city-state rose by 6.8% year over year to SG$659 billion, while new debt issuance rose 10% to SG$339 billion, driven by refinancing needs and regional demand for AI, technology and infrastructure funding.Covered bond issuance reached SG$11 billion, taking the market's outstanding size to around SG$29.8 billion.MAS has flagged higher bond yields and inflation concerns for 2026, with Asian bond markets to remain resilient.
