Vnet Group (VNET) shares were down 17% in Tuesday afternoon trading after the company reported a wider Q2 net loss.
The company reported a Q2 net loss Tuesday of 0.54 Chinese renminbi ($0.08) per diluted American depositary share, widening from a loss of 0.06 renminbi a year earlier.
Net revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was 2.78 billion renminbi, compared with 2.43 billion renminbi a year earlier.
Four analysts expected 2.73 billion renminbi.
For 2026, the company said it expects net revenue of 11.5 billion renminbi to 11.8 billion renminbi. That's unchanged compared with its previously provided guidance. Analysts are looking for 11.70 billion renminbi.
Separately, the company said it has entered a strategic agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology to jointly develop integrated compute energy infrastructure.
Under the deal, the companies will collaborate on green data centers and direct green power connection technologies, Vnet said.
