Vicor (VICR) shares rose more than 21% in Tuesday afternoon trading after the company said it raised its Q2 revenue guidance to $142 million from $126 million, due to rising product revenues and royalties from a new licensee to its power system technology.
Four analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $125.5 million.
The company said the new license includes all of its patents covering power converter topologies, control systems, power components, and distribution architectures.
