Update: Tencent's WeChat Pilots AI Agent in China

Tencent (HKG:0700) is testing a new artificial intelligence agent for its WeChat messaging app in China, it said Monday.

In response to a request for comment on a Bloomberg News story, a spokesperson on behalf of Tencent's global communication team toldthat its Weixin team is testing the new Xiaowei AI agent. It can be used to call Mini Programs and other apps, according to limited beta testing.

Xiaowei uses the WeLM large language model, the report added.

Innoax Wins KRW3.48 Billion Samsung Life Insurance Front-End System Enhancement Contract

South Korean software company Innoax (KOSDAQ:296640) secured a contract from Samsung SDS (KRX:018260) to enhance the Samsung Life Insurance front-core system, according to a Monday filing with the Korean Exchange.The contract, valued at 3.48 billion won, is valid till Dec. 21, 2027.Shares of Innoax fell nearly 1% in recent trade.
