(Updates with White House response in the fourth paragraph.)
Pfizer (PFE) will share a portion of increased revenue from higher drug prices abroad with the US Department of Health and Human Services under a contract tied to the Trump administration's "most favored nation" pricing policy, according to newly released documents obtained by Public Citizen.
The deal with Pfizer runs through Jan. 20, 2029, the consumer advocacy group said.
The contract says HHS will use the funds to lower costs for US patients and taxpayers, without specifying more details.
Pfizer did not immediately respond to' request for comment, while the White House pointed to a fact sheet stating that the agreement requires Pfizer to "repatriate increased foreign revenue on existing products" resulting from Trump's America First US trade policies for the benefit of American patients.
