Update: Medibank Private Fiscal 2026 Underlying Earnings, Revenue Up; Shares Fall 8%

Medibank Private (ASX:MPL) logged AU$0.231 in underlying earnings per share for fiscal 2026, compared with AU$0.225 a year ago, a Thursday filing showed.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings of AU$0.23.

For the 12 months ended June 30, revenue was AU$9.12 billion versus AU$8.35 billion previously, the Australia-listed health insurer added. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected AU$9.18 billion.

The board declared a final dividend of AU$0.109 per share, up from AU$0.102 a year earlier, payable Oct. 8 to shareholders on record as of Sept. 3.

Its shares fell past 8% in recent trading on Thursday.
