(Updates with CPC's response in the 4th paragraph.)
A Greek-run Suezmax tanker carrying about 1 million barrels of Russian-origin crude came under attack near the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal in Russia's Black Sea, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The attack marked the first strike on a vessel serving the CPC terminal in nearly three weeks, after earlier drone attacks disrupted cargoes and forced Kazakh oil producers to cut output, the report said.
Earlier this month, Ukraine agreed to avoid targeting CPC infrastructure and non-Russian vessels, provided they carried no Russian cargo, the report added, citing a US official.
CPC declined to comment on its operational activities or matters involving oil transshipment by shippers in response to' request.
