(Updates to add comment from Tata Electronics)
Indian electronics manufacturer Tata Electronics recently faced a cybersecurity incident after component design and specification papers of Apple and Tesla were posted by the ransomware group "World Leaks", according to a Reuters report on Monday, citing security researchers.
As per the security researchers, the ransomware group has posted more than 200,000 files on the dark web, Reuters said.
Tata Electronics, in its response to Reuters, said it had immediately activated its response protocols and confirmed that the incident had no impact on its operations, which continued to function normally.
The leak also allegedly contains files linked to U.S.-based car manufacturer Tesla, including documents related to vehicle drawings and manufacturing details, according to the report.
A Tata Electronics spokesperson, in an emailed reply to' request for comment, confirmed the cyberattack but reiterated that its operations across businesses were not impacted.
