Update: Market Chatter: Developer of Aramco Stadium in Saudi Arabia Seeks Partners

The owner and developer of the ​Aramco Stadium, which is operated by state oil giant Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (SASE:2222), d/b/a Saudi Aramco, under a 25-year concession, is looking to bring private investors into the project, Reuters reported July 16, citing three unnamed sources.

Public Investment Fund-backed Roshn Group tapped JPMorgan to oversee the equity fundraising and potentially sign a lease and leaseback transaction for the planned stadium in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

The development, which is expected to be the venue for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, is scheduled to host its first game in January 2027, after completion by the end of 2026.

Saudi Aramco declined to comment on the matter when reached by, while JPMorgan did not immediately respond.

The streaming company's second-quarter revenue missed Wall Street's estimates while Q3 guidance lagged market expectations. The company also said it will switch to releasing its engagement report annually, rather than semi-annually.On the upside, energy climbed 5%, while real estate rose 2.3% and consumer staples added 1.4%. Financials and health care were also higher.The climb in energy came as crude oil futures rose as Iran widened its attack to a desalination plant in Kuwait. Gainers included shares of Exxon Mobil (XOM), up 6.1%, and Chevron (CVX), up 6.2%.Next week's earnings calendar features Google parent Alphabet (GOOGL, GOOG), Tesla (TSLA), Philip Morris International (PM), GE Vernova (GEV), Texas Instruments (TXN), International Business Machines (IBM), AT&T (T), Intel (INTC) and American Express (AXP).Economic data will include June new home sales and the July US Flash Manufacturing PMI, a gauge of the manufacturing sector's health.

BofA: TotalEnergies to Post 'Better-than-Feared' Q2 Results; Estimates Revised

BofA Global Research on Friday revised its earnings estimates for TotalEnergies (TTE.PA, TTE.L) following the French energy company's second-quarter trading update."TTE's 2Q26 trading indicators yesterday confirmed our below-consensus stance on earnings - although we believe TTE's 2Q26 performance will be better than we feared: We raise our clean net income estimate for 2Q26 from The adjusted EPS estimates for 2026 and 2028 were bumped down to $11.05 and $12.20, respectively, from $11.26 and $12.21. Aker BP Signs Firm Contract Extending Use of Odfjell Drilling's Rig

Aker BP (AKRBP.OL) signed a firm contract to extend its use of engineering services company Odfjell Drilling's (ODL.OL) semi-submersible rig Deepsea Nordkapp by one year.The operating rate for Odfjell Drilling's rig under the extension will be determined by the end of 2026, according to a Friday release. The oil and gas company also retains further contract options.With the extension, Deepsea Nordkapp's contract backlog now runs to the end of 2028.
