BlackRock (BLK) and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) are teaming up to develop a framework to finance deals in Japan with private credit, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
BlackRock is expected to invest in mezzanine financing arranged by MUFG, which will include subordinated loans, the report said, citing the people. The companies are expected to announce that they have started exploring a partnership as soon as this week, the people told Bloomberg.
Both BlackRock and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group declined to comment to.
