Foxconn (TPE:2317) reported progress on new businesses, including electric vehicle-related projects, on Wednesday with its second-quarter earnings update.
The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer said it started domestic deliveries of its new Cavira Model C EV in July. The mass production of Model T and batteries for electric buses in Kaohsiung has started as well. In Japan, vehicles developed with Mitsubishi will commence deliveries during the second half.
Elsewhere, the company's joint venture EV charging pile factory in Saudi Arabia is set to start production in the fourth quarter, while an EMP EV collaboration project in Poland is progressing.
