Update: Endeavour Silver Temporarily Halts Mexico Mine Operations Amid Community Blockade; Shares Fall

By

(Updates with the latest stock movement in the first paragraph and headline.)

Endeavour Silver's (EXK) shares were down 4.9% in Monday trading after the company said over the weekend that operations at Terronera mine in Jalisco, Mexico, have been suspended since Aug. 12 due to a blockade by members of the nearby Ejido community.

The company said the group is seeking commitments related to road maintenance, medical assistance, communications, water access and financial support.

Endeavour said the blockade has remained peaceful and orderly. The mine remains staffed with a reduced workforce to support safety and security protocols and remains accessible for maintenance activities, the company said.

Endeavour said it is in talks with community leaders to resolve the issue.

The company said it can pursue legal action and will exercise available legal remedies if the blockade continues.
