Encounter Resources (ASX:ENR) said reverse circulation drilling at the Elsa prospect, part of its Lamil copper-gold project in Western Australia, defined a new target, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
Drilling intersected shallow copper-gold mineralization in adjacent holes at the prospect, including intercepts of 18 meters at 0.45% copper from 96 meters as well as six meters at 1.74 grams per tonne grade of gold from 94 meters.
Reverse circulation and diamond drilling are planned to test the gold-copper target at Elsa after the completion of the Parbo copper drilling.
Its shares rose 11% in recent trading on Monday.
