Encompass Health (EHC) reported Q2 adjusted earnings late Wednesday of $1.55 per diluted share, up from $1.40 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.48.
Revenue for the three months ended June 30 was $1.60 billion, up from $1.46 billion a year earlier.
Analysts expected $1.57 billion.
For full-year 2026, the company now expects adjusted EPS of $6.02 to $6.25 on revenue of $6.41 billion to $6.49 billion, up from its prior guidance for adjusted EPS of $5.89 to $6.11 on revenue of $6.38 billion to $6.47 billion.
Analysts expect $6.00 and $6.42 billion, respectively.
Also, the company said its board has approved an increase in the aggregate common stock repurchase authorization to $1 billion.
Shares rose nearly 13% in Thursday afternoon trading.
