BHP Group (ASX:BHP) logged $2.60 in underlying basic earnings per share for fiscal 2026, compared with $2.002 a year ago, a Tuesday filing showed.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings of $2.52.
For the 12 months ended June 30, revenue was $58.76 billion from $51.26 billion previously, the Australia-listed mining giant said. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $58.1 billion.
The board declared a final dividend of $0.99 per share, up from $0.60 a year earlier, payable Sept. 23 to shareholders on record as of Sept. 4.
The company expects fiscal 2027 copper production of nearly 1.7 million to 1.8 million tonnes, iron ore production of 260 to 272 million tonnes, and capital and exploration expenditure of around $11 billion.
The company's shares rose 3% in recent Tuesday trade.
