Uganda National Oil Company announced Vitol as the marketer for Pearl Sweet crude, with exports set to begin in early 2027, according to multiple media reports on Monday.
The agreement gives Vitol responsibility for marketing Uganda's government and UNOC allocations of Pearl Sweet crude ahead of the planned export start, according to the reports.
The move also expands ties between the companies, as Vitol supports Uganda's petroleum products supply program and works with UNOC under a $2 billion energy infrastructure facility.
UNOC and Vitol did not immediately reply to' request for comment.
