United Laboratories Unit Receives $13.5 Million Milestone Payment From Novo Nordisk

United Laboratories International (HKG:3933) said its subsidiary United Biotechnology received a $13.5 million milestone payment from Novo Nordisk related to the global Phase II clinical trial of UBT251 Injection for overweight or obesity treatment, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the pharmaceutical company were up over 2% in recent trade.

The payment was received under an exclusive license agreement for UBT251. The company is eligible for up to $1.8 billion in development and sales milestone payments, along with tiered royalties tied to annual net sales.

Semiconductor company Unisplendour (SHE:000938) said it will dilute its stake in subsidiary Unisplendour Computer Technology amid a 440-million-yuan capital increase.Unisplendour will waive its pre-emptive subscription rights, reducing its stake to 29.42% from 51%, with the subsidiary exiting consolidation, according to a Thursday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.One of the five investors of the capital increase, Haichen Huicai, will acquire a 12% stake in Unisplendour Computer Technology from five existing shareholders before the implementation of the capital increase.Shares of Unisplendour jumped 9% in recent trade.
