United Arrows' (TYO:7606) total sales for June rose 4.5% year over year, with existing store sales of retail and online outlets up 2.8%, according to a Thursday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
During the month under review, the retailer cited growth despite retail weakness from cooler weather and typhoons, and higher-priced apparel boosted average spending per customer.
One fewer holiday than last year negatively impacted same-store growth by roughly 1.6 percentage points, and the preliminary figures do not yet reflect revenue recognition standard changes that are expected to lower results by "a few" percentage points.
