Unilever (UL) said Thursday it plans to invest $270 million to develop a new Global Innovation Center in New Haven, Connecticut.
The company said the artificial intelligence-powered research and development center is expected to open by spring 2029. About 300 employees are expected to work at the center, which will succeed Unilever's existing R&D facility in Trumbull, Connecticut, according to a statement.
Unilever said the facility will house capabilities including skincare and cleansing research, fragrance development, packaging innovation and a human performance lab.
