Uni-President Unit Leases Land in China; Shares Drop 3%

Uni-President Enterprises (TPE:1216) unit Guangzhou President Packaging Industry acquired a right-of-use asset in Guangzhou, China, for about 1.3 million yuan, according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing.

Shares slid about 3% in Wednesday's late morning trade.

The leased property, spanning 2,443.575 square meters, will be purchased from another Uni-President Enterprises subsidiary - Guangzhou President Enterprises.

The property will be used for factories and warehouses, the food and beverage manufacturer said.

The lease runs from June 1, 2026, to Dec. 31, 2028, the filing said.

Malakoff Unit Sign Power Purchase Deals With Tenaga Nasional

Shenzhen Expressway (SHA:600548, HKG:0548) plans to issue on Tuesday 1 billion yuan in three-year medium-term bonds to repay maturing debts, according to a Monday filing with the Shanghai bourse.Payment is scheduled for May 20, with listing and trading on the interbank market set for May 21.Lead underwriters are China CITIC Bank and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank.Shares of the toll road operator rose 1% in recent trade on the Shanghai bourse.
