UACJ Says Furukawa Electric Share Sale to Boost Liquidity, Has No Impact on Operations

UACJ (TYO:5741) said its second-largest shareholder, Furukawa Electric (TYO:5801), has informed the company that it will sell its shares in the company, representing 7% of the total issued shares, according to a Thursday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The Tokyo-listed company said that the shares will be sold through a securities firm and is expected to increase its tradable share ratio, improve market liquidity, and broaden its investor base.

The sale will have no impact on its business operations or financial results.
