Turaco Gold (ASX:TCG) exercised its rights to acquire an option for the acquisition of exploration permit PR1074 from Pioneer Minerals SARL, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The acquisition would bring the total Afema project area in the Ivory Coast to over 1,600 square kilometers, the filing said.
The company plans to conduct stream sediment sampling and soil sampling to generate future drill targets, per the filing.
Shares fell 4% in morning trade on Tuesday.

Hong Fok (SGX:H30) bought back 176,800 shares in the open market on Friday for around SG$169,289, according to a same-day after-market filing with the Singapore Exchange.To date, the property investment company has repurchased nearly 5 million shares under its current buyback program.
