Tungsten Mining (ASX:TGN) said major reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling programs are now underway at its Watershed Tungsten Project in Queensland, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The company said the RC drilling program comprises 175 holes for 15,000 meters, designed to increase geological confidence in areas of known high-grade mineralization targeted for initial mining through a 20-meter by 20-meter drill pattern, while the diamond drilling program comprises 75 holes for about 5,700 meters to provide metallurgical and geotechnical information supporting detailed engineering and mine design.
Results will support updates to the mineral resource model, mine plan and pit design, with initial drilling results expected from October, the filing added.
