True North Copper (ASX:TNC) said its exploration and resource extension reverse circulation drilling at the Great Australia Mine (GAM), part of the Cloncurry copper project in Queensland, showed the potential for incremental resource growth surrounding the existing GAM resource, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
It encountered intercepts of 10 meters at 0.88% grade of copper and 0.15 grams per tonne grade of gold from 78 meters, as well as 13 meters at 0.38% grade of copper and 0.08 g/t grade of gold from 30 meters.
Diamond drilling samples for metallurgical, geotechnical, and geological studies were dispatched to support future reserve conversion, mine planning, and prefeasibility study workstreams, targeted for the December quarter.
