True North Copper (ASX:TNC)received firm commitments to raise AU$18 million through a placement of 48.6 million shares at AU$0.37 per share, with proceeds directed toward the company's priority growth programs supporting the 2026 and 2027 work program, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The company said it also intends to undertake a share purchase plan (SPP) capped at AU$2 million at the same issue price, with funds raised from the SPP to be used for working capital purposes.
The company's shares fell 12% in recent Monday trade.
