True North Copper (ASX:TNC) confirmed the continuity of a broad copper-cobalt-silver mineralized system with higher-grade zones at the Aquila discovery within the Mt Oxide project in Queensland, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Results from the first three diamond drill holes completed as part of this year's drilling program returned 35 meters at 0.8% copper, 0.04% cobalt, and 3.4 grams per tonne grade of silver from 32 meters, including 9.2 meters at 2.2% copper and 4 meters at 4.1% copper, the filing said.
Further assays are expected over the coming months, per the filing.
Shares rose nearly 3% in afternoon trade Tuesday.
