Transurban Group's (ASX:TCL) traffic increased 3.4% in August from a year earlier, decelerating from the 4% growth rate logged in July, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
North America traffic jumped 12.3% in August, with 95 and 495 Express Lanes growing by 3.8% and 26.1%, respectively. Average dynamic toll prices soared 36% on the 495 Express Lanes, driven by additional capacity from the recently opened 495 Northern Extension.
Sydney traffic growth clocked in at 3.3%, reflecting continued strong growth on the M7 after the opening of the M7-M12 integration project, and Melbourne traffic grew 3.5%, driven by the contribution from the West Gate Tunnel, per the filing.
Transurban added that it will continue to monitor the impact of the current geopolitical and macroeconomic environment.
