Toyota Motor (TYO:7203) raised its consolidated vehicle sales forecast for fiscal 2027 by 100,000 units to 9.7 million vehicles, reflecting solid demand in North America and Europe, according to presentation materials released earlier this week.
The automaker also factored in a recovery in vehicle sales in the Middle East, supported by the establishment of alternative logistics routes to the region.
Toyota maintained its fiscal 2027 retail vehicle sales outlook at 11.18 million units.
Meanwhile, the Japanese carmaker left its total vehicle production forecast unchanged at 10 million units, while raising planned output in Japan by 100,000 units to 3.45 million and lowering overseas production by the same amount to 6.55 million units.
Shares of Toyota Motor gained 2% in recent trade.
