Toyobo (TYO:3101) plans to suspend operations at its El Salvador subsidiary Industrias Unidas, effective in end-November, according to a Tuesday filing with the Tokyo Exchange.
The suspension comes as the company aims to focus its resources on higher-profit businesses. Industrias Unidas, in which Toyobo holds a 92.6% stake, reported operating losses for the past three fiscal years, including a $2.8 million loss in fiscal 2026.
Shares of Toyobo added 1% at market close.
