Toyo Suisan Kaisha's Fiscal Q1 Profit Jumps 20%

Toyo Suisan Kaisha (TYO:2875) profit attributable to owners of the parent increased 19.5% to 18.2 billion yen in the fiscal first quarter from 15.3 billion yen a year earlier.

The food manufacturer's basic earnings per share climbed to 187.53 yen from 153.09 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.

Net sales for the three months ended June 30 increased 7.8% year on year to 135.7 billion yen from 125.8 billion yen.

For the fiscal first half, the company expects an attributable profit of 33.6 billion yen, EPS of 346.10 yen and net sales of 274.5 billion yen.
