TotalEnergies (TTE.PA, TTE.L) made the first shipment from its ECA liquefied natural gas phase 1 export terminal, which is currently under commissioning on Mexico's Pacific Coast in Baja California.
The French energy giant said Thursday it will export 1.7 million tonnes per year for 20 years from the start of commercial operations, and will be the sole offtaker of LNG during the ramp-up phase.
TotalEnergies holds a 16.6% stake in ECA LNG.
