TotalEnergies (TTE) said Thursday it made a new oil discovery in Angola while securing agreements for additional exploration blocks.
The Acacia-5 well will begin production within three months to add 6,000 barrels per day to existing operations, the company said.
Additionally, the company also signed agreements with the local regulator to take a 40% operating interest in exploration Blocks 17/25 and 32/21, it said.
A separate preliminary deal gives the company a 35% stake in four other regional blocks in the Benguela Basin, TotalEnergies said.
