Toppan (TYO:7911) said it will implement a two-for-one share split of its common stock, reducing the amount per trading unit to make its shares more accessible, enhance liquidity, and broaden its investor base, according to a Friday filing with the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The printing company said the split will apply to common shares held by shareholders recorded as of Sept. 30, with the effective date set for Oct. 1.
Following the split, the total number of issued shares will increase to 589.4 million from 294.7 million, while its issuable shares will rise to 2.4 billion from 1.4 billion.
