Tongyu Communication Clarifies Rumors Over Jiaxian Communication's Involvement With Nvidia

Tongyu Communication (SHE:002792) denied rumors that Shenzhen Jiaxian Communication Technology signed a research and development agreement with Nvidia for the development of 6G AI-RAN base stations, according to a Friday disclosure on the Shenzhen bourse.

The statement was made after the issue was published on online media outlets. The antenna manufacturer is processing its acquisition of 25% of Shenzhen Jiaxian Communication Technology, with a consideration of 300 million yuan.

Tongyu clarified that the wireless communication products manufacturer is conducting R&D on 6G AI-RAN base station technology based on Nvidia's CUDA Aerial open-source ecosystem platform, but there are no exclusive authorization arrangements. The product is still in the early stage of development.

Tongyu's shares jumped 10% at the close.
