Tokyu (TYO:9005) posted a 43% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 36.3 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 25.3 billion yen.
The railway operator's net income per share increased to 63.85 yen from 44.02 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Friday.
Operating revenue jumped 4.6% to 273.5 billion yen from 261.4 billion yen in the year-ago period.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company forecasts an attributable profit of 90 billion yen, net income per share of 158.15 yen, and operating revenues of 1.140 trillion yen.
The company plans to pay an interim and year-end dividend of 16 yen per share each for the current fiscal year.
