Tokyo Metro (TYO:9023) profit attributable to owners of the parent fell 24.7% to 16.8 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter, from 22.3 billion yen a year earlier.
The subway operator's basic earnings per share slipped to 28.96 yen from 38.41 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.
Operating revenue increased 2.8% to 109.0 billion yen for the three months ended June 30, from 106.1 billion yen.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects an attributable profit of 50.0 billion yen, basic EPS of 86.12 yen and operating revenue of 437.2 billion yen.
Tokyo Metro expects to pay interim and year-end dividends of 22.00 yen per share each for the current fiscal year.
