Tokyo Electron (TYO:8035) net income attributable to owners of the parent jumped 39.5% to 164.3 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter, from 117.8 billion yen a year earlier.
The electronics company's earnings per share climbed to 360.15 yen from 256.49 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.
Net sales grew 33.3% year on year to 732.4 billion yen for the three months ended June 30, from 549.6 billion yen.
For the six months ending Sept. 30, the company expects an attributable income of 349 billion yen, EPS of 767.51 yen, and net sales of 1.620 trillion yen.
The company plans to pay an interim dividend of 384.00 yen per share.
