Tokuyama (TYO:4043) posted a 6% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 5.2 billion yen for the first quarter ended June 30 from 4.91 billion yen.
The chemicals company's earnings per share increased to 72.34 yen from 68.27 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Wednesday.
Net sales jumped 4.7% to 85.65 billion yen from 81.83 billion yen in the year-ago period.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company forecasts an attributable profit of 26 billion yen, EPS of 361.38 yen, and net sales of 392 billion yen.
The company plans to pay a second-quarter dividend of 60 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
