Tokio Marine (TYO:8766) plans to carry out a 15-for-one stock split and introduce a shareholder benefits program, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.
The stock split, which will increase the total number of issued shares to 29.01 billion from 1.934 billion, is effective Oct. 1, the filing said.
Under the shareholder program, shareholders who hold at least 100 shares for three years will receive an initial benefit of electronic money or other benefits worth 7,500 yen, followed by annual benefits worth 2,500 yen. The first record date for the program will be March 31, 2027, it said.
Shares of the insurer rose 2% at market close.
