Tokai Carbon (TYO:5301) has temporarily shut down equipment operating at its Tanoura plant at the time of a magnitude 7.1 earthquake in Kumamoto, Japan, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Wednesday.

The temporary shutdown excluded some systems such as environmental facilities.
