Toho's (TYO:8142) sales revenue in July increased 12% year on year to 24.3 billion yen, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The distributor business saw sales jump 14% with a support from inbound demand and contribution from newly consolidated Sankyo Shokucho.
The cash-and-carry business sales rose 3.2% despite a declining rice demand, while sales in the food solutions business gained 3.4% year on year amid an increase in project completions.
The company said it had 96 C&C stores at the end of July, after three new openings and one closure.
