Tivan (ASX:TVN) said the company owning its Speewah Fluorite Project in Western Australia has been formally renamed from Fluorite SPV to Japan Australia Fluorite Associates (JAFA), according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
Tivan is focused on development planning for the project for a mining and processing operation of fluorite ore to produce acid-grade fluorspar in a joint venture with Sumitomo and Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security via their unit Japan Fluorite, the filing added.
Tivan's interest in JAFA is held via Fluorite Holding SPV, which has also been renamed to Fluorite Holding as part of the corporate rebranding, with Tivan holding a 93.96% interest in Fluorite Holding and the remaining 6.04% held by strategic partner ETFS Capital, the filing added.
Fluorite Holding currently holds an 85% interest in JAFA, with the remaining 15% held by Japan Fluorite, it added.
Tivan's shares tumbled 5% in recent Tuesday trade.
