THK (TYO:6481) posted an 805% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 33.7 billion yen for the six months ended June 30 from 30.4 billion yen.
The Japan-based manufacturer's basic earnings per share increased to 301.18 yen from 32.72 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Wednesday.
Revenues jumped 32% to 151.1 billion yen from 114.1 billion yen in the year-ago period.
In a separate filing, the company raised its forecast for the fiscal year ending Dec 31, with an attributable profit of 54.8 billion yen, basic EPS of 488.97 yen, and revenues of 310 billion yen.
The company plans to pay a semiannual dividend of 96 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
