Tenaga Nasional's (KLSE:TENAGA) profit attributable to owners fell to 888.8 million ringgit in the second quarter from 1.16 billion ringgit a year ago.
Earnings per share for the three months slid to 0.1525 ringgit from 0.199 ringgit a year earlier, according to a Thursday Malaysian bourse filing.
Revenue of the power utility company, however, rose to 18.2 billion ringgit from 16.8 billion ringgit.
The company's board also approved an interim single-tier dividend of 0.25 ringgit per share for the financial year ending Dec. 31.
