Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust Reports Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing as Top Portfolio Holding

Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust (NZE:TEM) reported Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing as its top portfolio holding by market value as of Aug. 31, with ownership of about 10.2 million shares worth 572.1 million pounds sterling, according to a Tuesday filing with the New Zealand bourse.

In second spot, the company holds nearly 2.2 million shares in Samsung Electronics worth 302.9 million pounds, followed by 317,455 shares in South Korean semiconductor firm SK Hynix with a market value of 286.6 million pounds, per the filing.

The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing stake represents about 18% of Templeton's total net assets, while the Samsung and SK Hynix stakes represent 9.5% and 9%, respectively.

Templeton's shares gained nearly 2% in recent Tuesday trade.
