Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust Reports Net Asset Value

Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust's (NZE:TEM) unaudited net asset value, including income, was 3.49 billion pounds sterling, or 3.7253 pounds sterling per share as of Wednesday, according to a Friday filing with the New Zealand bourse.

Unaudited net asset value excluding income was 3.44 billion pounds sterling, representing a net asset value of 3.675 pounds sterling per share, the filing said.

Cedar Woods Properties Acquires Development Sites Across Victoria, Queensland

Cedar Woods Properties (ASX:CWP) acquired a number of development sites as it seeks to strengthen its medium-term development pipeline across Queensland and Victoria, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.This includes a townhouse development site in Kealba, Victoria, which the firm acquired for AU$30.9 million on deferred terms to deliver around 200 townhouse lots. Settlement is expected in mid-fiscal 2028.The company also acquired an apartment development site in Fairfield, Queensland for AU$27.3 million on deferred terms to deliver over 500 apartments across multiple stages. Settlement is expected mid-fiscal 2027, subject to planning-related approvals. It acquired land adjoining the existing Flourish community in South Maclean, Queensland for AU$5.3 million, adding around 47 lots to the project pipeline.Cedar Woods Properties is also progressing two land acquisition opportunities in Western Australia, subject to ongoing negotiations and due diligence.The company added that it was on track to deliver the top end of fiscal 2026 earnings guidance, with net profit after tax growth of 30% to 35%.Cedar Woods Properties' shares rose past 2% in recent trading on Friday.

South Korean Shares Open Lower Amid Uncertainty Around US-Iran Peace Deal

South Korean stocks opened lower on Friday as investors adopted a wait-and-see approach amid uncertainty over the U.S.-Iran peace agreement.The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index, or Kospi, fell 3.66%, or 316.21 points, to open at 8,323.2. The Kosdaq shed 14.51 points to open at 1,035.22.Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said earlier this week that "no tangible progress" had been made in the country's negotiations with the U.S. to end the war, according to CBS News.Araghchi said communication with the U.S. was ongoing but warned that any attack by Israel on Lebanon's capital, Beirut, under its campaign against Hezbollah would lead to fresh tensions in the U.S.-Iran conflict.
