Telstra Group (ASX:TLS) said it will retire its legacy customer access network (CAN) radio and asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) services by Nov. 16, 2027, as part of its ongoing transition away from aging infrastructure, the company's website showed.
The company said its CAN radio voice service and ADSL broadband service rely on technology that is more than 40 years old and is becoming increasingly unreliable.
The company added that affected customers do not need to take immediate action, as it will contact them in the coming months with replacement options and transition support.
