A tanker sustained minor damage after being hit by an unmanned ariel vehicle while it was trying to exit the Strait of Hormuz, the UK Maritime Trade Operations said on Friday.
"UKMTO has received reports from military authorities that a tanker was struck by a uncrewed ariel vehicle (UAV) whilst conducting an outbound transit of the Strait of Hormuz," UKMTO said in its alert.
The vessel crew are accounted for and reported safe.
The incident did not result in any environmental impact, UKMTO added.
