Takeda Pharmaceutical (TYO:4502) profit attributable to owners of the parent fell 8.9% to 113.2 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter, from 124.2 billion yen a year earlier.
The pharmaceutical company's earnings per share slipped to 70.54 yen from 78.23 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.
Revenue increased 10.2% to 1.220 trillion yen for the three months ended June 30, from 1.107 trillion yen.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects an attributable profit of 166.0 billion yen, EPS of 104.26 yen and revenue of 4.640 trillion yen.
Takeda expects to pay interim and year-end dividends of 102.00 yen per share each for the current fiscal year.
