Taiyo Yuden (TYO:6976) recorded an attributable profit of 2.50 billion yen in the first fiscal quarter, compared with an attributable loss of 876 million yen a year prior.
Basic EPS stood at 19.82 yen, compared with a basic loss per share of 7.02 yen previously, according to a Wednesday Tokyo bourse filing.
The materials and electronics company's net sales jumped 11% to 93.9 billion yen from 84.8 billion yen in the year-ago period.
The company forecasts an attributable profit of 29 billion yen, basic EPS of 219.03 yen, net sales of 424 billion yen, and a total dividend of 90 yen per share for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027.
A separate filing indicated that the company upgraded its forecast, citing higher demand for IT infrastructure and industrial equipment, coupled with factors like selling prices and a weaker yen.
